Trade Credit Insurance continues to grow around the globe. The Berne Union statistics indicate that members insured commercial receivables in excess of $1.4 trillion in 2008 and that number continues to grow.
Brown & Joseph recognized the need for claims recovery in North America and established a dedicated Trade Credit Insurance Claim Recovery Division in order to meet the needs of the international credit insurance industry. The establishment of a specialized recovery division for trade credit insurance was a natural progression of our insurance division as we have a separate insurance division that handles collection accounts in these areas:

• Worker's compensation issues
• Deductibles
• Crop insurance
• Surety bond premiums and claims
• Captive and non-captive situations

Currently we represent three international trade credit insurance providers day in and day out with a staff that:
• Are specialists in claim recovery for the credit
insurance industry
• Have a thorough understanding of maritime/shipping
regulations and law
• Provides onsite debtor investigation and reports
• Captive, in house law office, to assist with legal questions
and strategy during the collection process
• Effectively collect on claims that have been previously
closed as uncollectible (2nd placements)
• Access all bankruptcy data for entire USA / this data can
and will be shared with our client at no cost
• Utilize extensive credit report and asset information that
assists in the recovery process
